Looking to shake up your typical weekend plans? Atlanta is home to bars and restaurants serving up specialty cocktails — whether you’re searching for the perfect Old Fashioned or have a hankering for a lavender mint tea vodka concoction.

But since picking a place to go out can sometimes be overwhelming, the folks at Thrillist are here to help. The food and drink site recently put out a list of the 13 best cocktail bars in Atlanta. According to them, these are the places that are worth shelling out some cash for.

“(Atlanta has) collectively stepped it way up, creating a level of expectation that actually makes $12 drinks make sense,” the Thrillist article reads. “That makes it harder to identify which bars are the true beasts of Atlanta’s beverage scene, and which are just letting the price tag do the work.”

But, have no fear, the writers say they have “exhaustively put these bars to the test” to determine their list.

Last month, the outlet also put Ticonderoga Club in Krog Street Market on its list of best cocktail bars in the nation.
