The Escape Game Atlanta has reopened and there are new guidelines in place to help protect visitors as they participate in 60-minute adventures and escape from rooms.

TEG, as The Battery spot is known, revealed on its Facebook page the steps it is taking to keep guests safe as the coronavirus pandemic continues.

“Of course we want to have the best puzzles, most immersive environments and the best guest experience, but more important than even that, is having the safest entertainment experience anywhere,” read the Facebook video description. “Here’s what we are doing to give our guests the safest possible experience.”

In addition to the video, the measures are also outlined on TEG's website.

  • Disinfecting will occur between each game, with a special focus being paid to high-touch areas. The lobby will also be disinfected between games.
  • The games themselves have also been adjusted to avoid high-touch elements and decrease contact. For the near future, the website said, all games will be private and guests will play with the people with whom they arrive.
  • Staff will maintain a six-foot distance from guests and the Game Guide will communicate with players through a screen in the room.
  • Check-in will also be contact-less and waivers will be completed online

"We love our guests and our team and want to do anything and everything we can to protect them and create the safest environment possible," marketing director at The Escape Game Teddy Cheek told What Now Atlanta in a statement. "We're excited to continue providing epic interactive experiences for every single guest and our new definition of epic includes extra measures to sanitize, clean, and socially distance."
