Family photographs
Family photographs will be the topic for the Sept. 15 DeKalb History Center Lunch and Learn lecture. I will be speaking on that topic to help people learn how to identify family photos, some pitfalls of identification, some tips on how to figure out who the people are, and how to work with family members to get copies of photographs they may not let you keep. It’s all based on a case study within one branch of my own family.
The event is at noon and is free; bring your own lunch. It's at the Old Courthouse on the square in Decatur. For further information, check dekalbhistory.org or call 404-373-1088, Ext. 23. The center's archives is open by appointment 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesdays-Thursdays.
