They say everywhere you went on the Morehouse College campus this week, there were conversations about rape taking place.

No matter where you stand on the latest allegations, whether you believe them or not, the public announcement on social media Tuesday turned our attention again to the issue of campus sexual assault and how, all too often, such attacks go unreported.

Even Morehouse men believe that attention is a good thing.

“All in all, I think it’s a productive and necessary conversation that will produce a positive outcome,” Hassan Henderson-Lott told me.

The 22-year-old senior said everywhere he went on campus, the alleged assaults were the topic of conversation.

The latest allegations, of a gang rape by four Morehouse men, surfaced Tuesday in a series of posts on Twitter in which an anonymous Spelman woman recounted her assault

The allegations are under investigation by both colleges.
