Q: I understand that Sunshine does not make pickled peaches any longer, do you know of any place else that sells them? Katherine S. Brown, Atlanta

A: Katherine, I checked with several produce markets and food gift shops, and none currently had pickled peaches in stock. And, yes, Margaret Holmes, under the McCall Farms umbrella, stopped pickling Sunshine peaches a while back. However, there's one local source that you can always count on to have plenty of pickled peaches on hand during the holidays. David's Produce and Country Store, 3561 Lavista Road, Decatur, 404-325-0709, sells quarts of Hillside Orchards Farms pickled peaches for $9.49 each. Hillside Orchards Farms, located in the Georgia mountains, flavors its pickled peaches with sugar, vinegar, cinnamon and whole cloves.

Q: Short of calling UGA, I have been unable to track down where to purchase sturgeon caviar harvested by UGA. I would love to serve it at a special holiday dinner that I enjoy with friends each year. Thank you for your help. I love your Sunday column. Mickey Baskett, Decatur

A: It might come as a surprise to some that the University of Georgia harvests caviar, but thanks to the foresight of a UGA professor of fisheries and aquaculture, the sturgeon caviar has been available for nearly 10 years. Bacchanalia restaurant offers caviar service featuring UGA Siberian sturgeon caviar, so it's not surprising that you'll also find the delicacy at Star Provisions Market and Cafe, 1460 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd., Atlanta, 404-365-0410, since both establishments are located at the same location. Star Provisions offers UGA Siberian sturgeon caviar in 30-gram (a smidge over an ounce) jars for $75 each, which is slightly less than some other outlets.
