Target remains one of the stores most guilty of getting me to buy a little more than what I originally came in the store to buy. Whether that happens to you or not (and I'm almost certain it does happen to you), have no fear; there are reasonably priced deals throughout the store -- even for those of us who shop there on a daily basis. On a recent visit to the Little 5 Points/Edgewood store (1275 Caroline St. NE, Atlanta) I attempted to find 10 items of relative usefulness and universal value for under $10 and was quite surprised by what I found. These items may be considered impulse buys, but at least they're good impulse buys.

In honor of the coming holiday Target offers 4th of July red, white and blue party glasses ($2.55) and 4th of July beach balls ($2.55). What's Independence Day without a good old American barbeque, and what's a barbeque without plates? The plastic round dinner plate (multi-color, $1.26), Melamine dinner plate shells (available in teal, $2.49) and plastic ice cream dish (available in pink or green, $.99) are a stylish find.

Always a great place to grab an outfit in a pinch, the women's Merona favorite tank collection (available in red and white striped, $9) will come in handy not just for the holiday but for the entire summer. For those cooler nights there are the Hanes men's solid long-sleeve t-shirts (available in cardinal, green hearth, indigo, navy and oatmeal, $7.99-9.99).

The kids were well represented on my search with the Intex 66-inch Wild Geometry Kiddie Pool ($8.99). The inflatable pool does not come equipped with an air pump (There were a number of pumps available instore and online for a little more than $10 however). For something to play with while in the pool, kids can have a Finding Dory collectible pack ($2.99, 1 piece per pack) or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figures ($9.99).

Outside of the pool there are a few footwear offers that fit right into my appointed price range: the Mossimo women's Lissie flip flop sandal (available in black, brown, turquoise and white, $9.74) and the women's Callie flip flop sandal (available in black and brown, $9.74). The toddler boys David flip flop sandals (available in blue and brown, $7.99) were also a smart buy and well within my price range.
