Pastoral anniversary celebration: "Leadership Worth Following" will be the theme for Pastor Karl D. Moore's 15th anniversary celebration at Clarkston First Baptist Church. Sip and sing: While sipping brews and singing hymns at Smith's Olde Bar's Atlanta Room (1578 Piedmont Ave., Atlanta), conversations about Christ will abound. Self-defense for girls: Girls in grades six through eight can enroll in Girls Can Fight Too, a workshop that will provide basic self-defense training, tools to prevent bullying, Internet safety and more. For this event, the Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta (MJCCA) will partner with Divas in Defense, an Atlanta-based company that empowers women and girls to defend and protect themselves.
