24-hour prayer: For the 23rd annual World Day of Prayer, an international meditation event, attendees will be able to participate in a 24-hour prayer vigil or for any length of time desired. Blood drive: During Power in the Blood, a blood drive event hosted by the American Red Cross, community members will be able to donate blood from 7:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sept. 10 and 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 11 at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church. Donors will need to present identification; donors will also receive a free gift.
