Eureka, a 4-year-old spayed shepherd mix, is a sweet, gentle girl who came to the Atlanta Humane Society from another shelter with a litter of puppies. Eureka is calm, walks well on the leash, and has a playful manner. She prefers calm environments and, like most adult dogs, will take a bit of time to warm up, so if you take her home, make sure she has some peace and quiet until she gets settled in. All dogs thrive on structure and leadership, and Eureka is no exception. We recommend crate training and obedience training to help with this. We don’t know how Eureka is with children or dogs, so bring the whole family to meet her. If you are looking for an adult dog who can make your family complete, come take a look at this girl. Eureka will need a rabies shot; the cost is included in her adoption fee. She has been microchipped and dewormed. She will be available at 2 p.m. today at the Atlanta Humane Society Howell Mill Campus, 981 Howell Mill Road N.W. Sealed bids will be accepted starting at 10 a.m. if more than one party is interested. Please note that the highest bidder must meet adoption qualifications.
