Ocelot, a 2-month-old neutered boxer, is a sweet, affectionate puppy who will need structure and training to be his best. Ocelot has started his housetraining already, but he will need further assistance, and this is most easily accomplished with proper use of a crate. Boxers typically make good family dogs, though as they reach adolescence (6-8 months), they can be very exuberant and physical in their play. Early training can help with this, though this breed generally does best with hardier children. Ocelot will need lots of exercise as he grows, so having a fenced yard where he can play daily (in addition to walks) will make things easiest. Ocelot may be a great companion to an existing dog, too, if you are looking for that. The Atlanta Humane Society has training classes and lessons to help you raise your puppy right. Research the breed and come bring the whole family to meet this cute pup. Ocelot is up-to-date on his puppy vaccinations (though he will need more vaccinations in the coming weeks, including a rabies shot) and has been microchipped and dewormed. He will be available at 2 p.m. today at the Atlanta Humane Society, 981 Howell Mill Road N.W. Sealed bids will be accepted starting at 10 a.m. if more than one party is interested. Please note that the highest bidder must meet adoption qualifications. Look at all our available pets at www.atlantahumane.org.
