Six years after its parent company, the Limited Brands, shut it down, plus-size fashion brand Eloquii has returned in brick-and-mortar form.

The store, which had since become an online shop, opened its doors at Lenox Square mall in November. Now, its devoted fans can visit the first store in Atlanta to try on size 14-28 dresses, jackets and tops for a night out or layering during the week.

"We're a completely different vibe," Eloquii CEO Mariah Chase told Atlanta magazine. "When we relaunched the brand in 2014, we saw an opening in fashion: really high quality, a tremendous amount of attention to fit, and also something that was more trend-forward."

In a press release ahead of the store’s opening in the 2,500 square foot space, Chase said Atlanta customers had “been asking us for a store since we relaunched Eloquii.com over five years ago.”

And it's not just residents who are interested in the brand. Eloquii has had collaborations with big names, including Reese Witherspoon through her Atlanta-based Draper James brand, and Nordstrom.

Last year, the company teamed with women-focused media and entertainment website Refinery29 for a crowd-sourced collection. Also in 2019, Eloquii joined artist and designer Jason Wu for a spring collection filled with pleated dresses and mix-matching prints.

Eloquii describes itself as a "fit-obsessed" brand. Its website notes, "we work hard to get ours right. Our technical fit team is just as big as our design team because both are equally important. After our clothes hit our site and stores, we read your reviews and keep working towards the best fit."
