Sasha Biggiepotamus Fierce. Snuggles Butt Le Lee. No, these are not creative attempts to form secure passwords.
These are the names of people’s pets.
Each year, Veterinary Pet Insurance holds a contest to determine the wackiest pet names. The anxiously awaited results have been released.
For 2014, the top dog name is Peanut Wigglebutt, and the top cat name is Snuggles Butt Le Lee.
Runners-up include Sir Hog Knucklehad representing the dogs category, and Count Flufferton proudly representing the felines.
According to Peanut Wigglebutt’s owner, Christine Edwards, the silly name was inspired by her first meeting with the dachshund. Edwards says the dog was wagging its tail so hard it fell over.
Snuggles Butt Le Lee actually had a less attractive moniker for starters. Owner Madison Le-Lee says that the kitten she rescued was so filthy that she and her daughter nicknamed him “Dirty Butt.” After a thorough cleaning, a beautiful white cat emerged. Eventually the cat was renamed when they discovered how much the cat likes to snuggle.
