Nation of Islam leader Minister Louis Farrakhan will be at the Fox Theatre Sunday for the 21st anniversary of the Million Man March.
The event, “The Holy Day of Atonement,” beings at 2 p.m. and will also be on closed circuit at the venue, 660 Peachtree St. N.E. The closed circuit area will be in the Fox’s Egyptian Ballroom.
Attendees can expect to hear Farrakhan to address the contentious presidential election , said Akbar Muhammad, an international representative for the NOI and Farrakhan.
The flyer advertising the events includes images of both Democratic and Republican presidential nominees, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. It also includes an image of police in riot gear and also a photo of protesters.
Between 10,000 and 15,000 people from around the nation are expected to attend, with many going out this weekend for a day of service in the community.
The Million Man March, held on Oct. 16, 1995 was a national gathering of African-American men in Washington, D.C., to call for justice and to accept responsibility as the head of their families.
