Decatur

Get your hands dirty and explore a working organic farm this March in Decatur. The Atlanta Science Festival will host a Farm Scavenger Hunt at the Gaia Gardens/Love is Love Farm where guests can have a hands-on experience discovering how a real farm operates. Once you finish the scavenger hunt, make sure to take part in the tasting activity provided by a local chef.
Stone Mountain

This year, celebrate Easter in an unforgettable way on top of Stone Mountain with the traditional Easter Sunrise Service. This nondenominational service begins at sunrise and even features a sign language interpreter for the hearing-impaired. If standing on the top of the mountain isn't your thing, you can experience the same service on the Memorial Lawn at the base of the mountain.
Dunwoody

Right when all the leaves and flowers start to pop out, bring your children to the Dunwoody Nature Center to experience nature firsthand. Kids ages 2 through 5 will have a chance to take part in interactive activities, crafts and hikes all related to seeds. Make sure to bring a lunch to enjoy at one of the picnic tables after class.

Experience a sound like you've never heard before by coming to hear The Georgia Brass Band playing at the Dunwoody United Methodist Church this March. Playing a variety of music, including jazz, movie tunes, upbeat marches and classical pieces, this "British Brass Band" will amaze you with its range and versatility.
Avondale Estates
Easter Egg Hunt and Dog Parade. 10 a.m. to noon. March 26. Free. Lake Avondale, 59 Lakeshore Drive, Avondale Estates. www.avondaleestates.org.
Children ages 10 and under can come down to Lake Avondale to take part in the Avondale Estates Egg Hunt, which starts exactly at 10 a.m., so make sure to arrive on time. Kids will hunt for eggs filled with candy, toys and prizes for different age groups and will even get a chance to meet the Easter Bunny. If you love your dog and don't want it to miss out on all the fun, bring your pet along to take part in the Annual Dog Parade happening during the egg hunt.
