Meet the Woodall family: Dawn, Jay and one-year-old Isabella.

The Woodalls built a Craftsman house at the Preserve at East Atlanta, a neighborhood off Bouldercrest Road. The home has two porches overlooking the green space that gave the Preserve its name. The area was certified as a wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.

The family room includes an entertainment center and a fireplace. The room opens to the kitchen.

The Woodall's formal dining room features a coffered ceiling, a bay window and elbow room for the table for eight. The room is linked to the kitchen by a butler's pantry.

Amish-built cabinets and granite counters are highlights of the kitchen. The stone bowl was purchased in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and was intended as a sink. Instead, it's the centerpiece of the kitchen.

The screened porch opens to one of two decks that overlook the prized green space. One of Jay's favorite objects is this figure he brought back from Cambodia.

Isabella enjoys romping on her parent's bed in their master bedroom.

The three-bedroom, two-bath home includes a bonus office built off the garage that opens out to the lower-level deck.

Jay Woodall's mother deals in Russian art. Evidence of her influence can be seen throughout the home. Vitaly Yerkleris' "Venetian Bridge" was a Christmas gift that graces the family room.

Little Isabella's room is fit for a princess.

Enjoying the outdoors is part of the community's charm. The Preserve is a social neighborhood where porch parties are the norm.
