The second floor features a loft sitting area and another guestroom, outfitted with a hanging plasma TV, where company can enjoy private time away from the hostess and her home office.

The pool is part of the tropical-themed yard.

The sky-lit stone shower in the master suite shares space with black granite vanities and a deep spa tub.

A bedroom continues the style of the Southwest.

Throughout her home, Santucci has added several fun antiques, such as the bright blue Pepsi machine at the edge of the kitchen island.

A breakfast bar is flanked by four tall leather chairs and separates the work area from the dining room.

Along with a location close to the highway, Santucci liked the house for its one-level living. "I don't have to go upstairs unless I want to," she said.

Homes in her Southwestern-inspired community feature courtyards, arched doorways and minimal grass.

Shelley Santucci, a real estate agent, spent time in the Southwest. It shows in her choice of home style and decor.

Santucci created an outdoor retreat with a swimming pool, palm trees, a barbecue and kitchen area and patio. And just in case it gets nippy, there are infrared heaters to ward off the chill.

The master bedroom opens to the patio and has a spacious sitting area.
