Daughter of licensed Coca-Cola artist decorates home with bold pops of color

When Edee, who owns Stephanie Leigh Designs, bought her home six years after it was built in 2010, she gave the grayish brick a fresh coat of white paint.

Jill Edee bought her Milton home, which has five bedrooms and five bathrooms, in 2016.

Vintage antique greyhound sculptures, from City Antiques & Interior Arts in Roswell, are perched along the backyard stairs. Edee painted them black to contrast with the white brick.

In the basement art studio, Edee has covered the walls in inspirational pieces, and art created by her family and their friends. She used containers from Wal-mart to organize supplies.

The bamboo bar cart, a spruced up Craigslist find, sits in the foyer. "I wanted this house to be like a blank slate where I could take my interior design paintbrush and brush strokes of color and surprise," said Edee, who painted most of the interior walls Sherwin-Williams Pearly White.

Milk glass, coffee table books, and a mirrored tray create a tableau beneath the a baroque-style gilded mirror Edee found at an antique store.

A custom dining table crafted by Carey Durbin of CD Natural Creations centers the dining room. Natural light fills the room through large windows that look out on the front porch. Combined with the white glass Treviso chandelier from Cyan Design, the windows give the room a light and airy feeling

In her 13-year-old daughter's room, Edee arranged vintage milk glass dishes against walls painted Sherwin-Williams Koral Kicks. The gold elements in the mirror, Serena & Lily chandelier made of shells and bedside tables from West Elm elevate the space from childish to stylish.

"I really wanted to give her a space that she loved and felt at home in that also paid homage to her transition in life from little girl to a young lady" Edee said of her teen's room..

Edee expanded her daughter's bedroom into a suite, complete with a sectional couch from Urban Outfitters and a rattan chair from Pier 1 Imports. Friend and designer Rachel Greathouse recommended that she remove a wall to create the space. A Capiz scalloped chandelier from Serena & Lily acts as natural light diffusers.

A custom midcentury-style white and gold desk, created by Carey Durbin, is a stunning and functional centerpiece in Edee's home office. Edee owns Stephanie Leigh Designs. A fan of creative storage, she often uses her milk glass collection to hold supplies. It's practical and nostalgic, because her grandmother also collected the pieces.

Edee continues the trend of white to the walls of her home office and on to the mantel, creating a backdrop for an original Saul Steinberg New Yorker print from 1976 that hangs above her office fireplace.

Edee spruced up vintage Ficks Reed club chairs and an antique china cabinet. She added a coat of paint and new cushions to the chairs and a coral background to the cabinet, which was originally brown.

Edee said she loves adding pops of color against white walls, like this custom, beaded chandelier from AuCourant Interiors that's in her home office. The transoms allow this particular bright spot to be seen from other rooms.

Edee's collection of vintage blue glass adds touches of color to her family room. The ocean-like accessories and white sectional couch from Arhaus add to her Palm Beach Regency-style decor.

Edee recovered her vintage swivel barrel chairs and added a custom pillow. For a side table, she used an antique elephant satsuma-style garden stool.

Beachy decor, including bamboo elements in her desk and chair, mix seamlessly with subtle hues in the master bedroom. Above the bed are five hand-colored antique framed book plates. Rounded gourd lamps from Wayfair frame the bed.

Calm neutrals fill homeowner the master bedroom. Monogrammed pillows and a throw blanket add subtle hues of blue to the upholstered bed from RH, which is flanked by vintage mirrored nightstands. A tufted bench from Wayfair with clear acrylic legs plays into the timeless style of the space.

A gold lamp reminiscent of a palm tree, and bamboo-detailed desk and chair from AmericasMart Atlanta are examples of Edee's Palm Beach Regency style in the master bedroom.

Edee's spa-like master bath includes a freestanding tub from Signature Hardware and marble herringbone floor tile from ProSource Wholesale. Modify Atlanta gutted and renovated the room last year.. Updates included nickel fixtures from Ferguson and a frameless shower.

Edee bought her home in Milton in 2016 and moved in with her children, 13-year-old Livvy and 10-year-old James Spencer; and their pets, goldendoodle Ricky Ricardo, and pugs Elwood and Belucy.
