Jean-Francois and Martha Morizur’s home is filled with French flair and fleur-de-lis imagery that blend seamlessly with their transitional style.

The fleur-de-lis sculpture on the mantel in the keeping room was a gift to homeowners Jean-Francois and Martha Morizur from the artist Bob Zasadny. Zasadny knew of Martha’s love of the fleur-de-lis, and he created the piece to go with the couple’s decor, which reflects Jean-Francois’ French roots. Text by Shannon Dominy. In 2017 Jean-Francois and Martha Morizur purchased their Cumming home. They live there with their 7-year-old daughter, Jillian, and their cat, Salmon. Jean-Francois is the vice president of science and technology for performance minerals at Imerys, and Martha is a stay-at-home mom who homeschools their daughter. Text by Shannon Dominy. When Martha and Jean-Francois Morizur moved with their daughter from Indiana in 2017, they purchased their Forsyth County home. The house is 6,520 square feet with five bedrooms and six bathrooms. Text by Shannon Dominy. Photo by Reynolds Rogers.

When Jean-Francois and Martha Morizur moved to Cumming, they knew they wanted a home as similar as possible to the house they loved in Indiana. Though local home styles were different than the ones they were familiar with, they found a space that works for them. A sectional, chair and coffee table from Value City create a cozy setup in the keeping room of Martha and Jean-Francois Morizur’s Cumming home. The wooden fireplace screen carved with goats and mountains is from Bonneval-sur-Arc, France, which is one of Jean-Francois’ favorite places in France, where he and his parents would vacation when he was young. Jean-Francois and Martha Morizur’s master bedroom has a warm and cozy vibe with a high tray ceiling. The white leather bed from Wayfair topped with bedding from HomeGoods and pillows from Burlington creates an inviting retreat framed by two white wood tables that Martha converted from an antique dresser with a mirror to a set of bedside tables.
