Celebrity chef Paula Deen at Hosea Feed the Hungry & Homeless to make a donation on behalf of Smithfield Foods.

Food Network celebrity cook Paula Deen delivered 25,000 pounds of food to Hosea Feed the Hungry & Homeless in Atlanta on Monday. Publix Supermarkets provided $5,000 worth of turkeys and a check of $8,000 to the nonprofit organization.

Paula Deen (left), Elizabeth Omilami and Dennis Pittman help unload the goods. As hams were being tossed down a relay line Monday morning, an eight-pounder struck Deen in the face.

Paula Deen is the official spokeswoman for Smithfield.

Afemo Omilami lends a hand as he and other volunteers help with Deen's donation.
