Gooden is one of 84 residents at Westbury Medical Care and Rehab who tested positive for COVID-19 and has since recovered. Westbury is one of the hardest-hit senior care homes in the state, with 34 deaths among its 123 residents who tested positive for COVID-19. More than three dozen workers at the facility also tested positive and one died. Statewide, more than half of the stateââ¬â¢s senior care homes have had at least one confirmed coronavirus case among residents or staff. As of Monday, 6,402 long-term care residents have tested positive and 1,139 have died, according to reports made to the Georgia Department of Community Health.
