Veterans frequently list dental care among their top 10 unmet needs — even veterans who qualify for other medical care.

To help keep ‘em smiling, the MouthMobile is bringing a dental office on wheels to downtown Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park Thursday, Feb. 25.

The well-equipped semi-truck, just kicking off a nationwide tour, will work on the choppers of Atlanta veterans who coordinated their appointments through local veterans organizations.

To give them something extra to smile about, motorsports celebrity Danica Patrick will be visiting with veterans at the MouthMobile from 10 a.m. until noon Thursday, before she returns to Atlanta Motor Speedway three days later to race in the Folds of Honor Quick Trip 500.

The outreach program is a partnership between the national chain Aspen Dental and Got Your 6, a non-profit campaign to help empower the country’s veterans. The partnership has helped 4,000 veterans over the last three years.

The 42-foot MouthMobile, outfitted with a denture lab, x-ray equipment and two dental chairs, will be at Centennial Olympic Park from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
