Morehouse School of Medicine will offer free heart screenings to area seniors on Thursday as part of the college’s Healthy Heart Week.

The weeklong scholarship fundraising program, which runs through Feb. 7, features talks by renowned physicians about heart health and other health awareness activities.

Also Thursday, Spelman College and the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development will host the Wellness Revolution Summit highlighting medical research and best practices for maintaining optimal health.

The events are free but require registration.
