International Night Market
This weekend, you won't have to travel too far to experience the wonders of shopping in another world. Instead, the Atlanta International Night Market is bringing excitement from around the globe to Duluth for a three-day event that will offer tastes and creations from around the world. More than 200 vendors will be on site selling food, drink and art from more than 75 different countries. Peruse the stalls against the backdrop of live music and street performers or check out the international beer village, the kid-zone and the dessert village. Vego or vegan? No worries. The cuisine is not all meat. The market will also feature a vegan array of options just for you.

METRO AREA
Beneficial Bugs Class
It's springtime, and with the season comes all sorts of bugs. But which bugs are pests, and which are pals? Head to any Pike Nursery location in the metro area on April 22 to learn the difference of which ones you should be grateful for. The timing coincides with Pike's annual Ladybug Weekend in honor of the spotted insect known for warding off other pests in your garden. This class will teach you more about how helpful ladybugs can be and introduce you to other goodies, such as the praying mantis and hoverfly. While you're there, make a purchase and pick up free ladybugs to take home, plus enter to win a $100 Pike gift card.

Big Shanty Festival
The Big Shanty festival takes over the thoroughfares of downtown Kennesaw for a weekend of free fun. Starting with a parade down Main Street, the festival will feature more than 200 crafters and artists showcasing their work and goods. In between checking out all artwork, swing by the Civil War encampment in Depot Park; gaze in awe at Kristen Johnson, the escape artist who has broken some of Houdini’s records; and take a quick picture with Walking Tree Man, a 12-foot creation worthy of English writer J. R. R. Tolkien. Parking is available throughout the city; check out the city’s website for guidelines.
