You can get a bag of bacon with your Dunkin’ coffee

Forget the handful of almonds or other afternoon snacks billed as healthy and filling.

Dunkin’ now has Snackin’ Bacon to hold you over until dinner.

People love bacon so much it's flavor can be found "in everything from toothpaste to vodka," Dunkin' states on its website. But the best way to enjoy it, Dunkin' adds, is "(s)traight up, preferably paired with an iced coffee for the optimal experience."

What exactly is Snackin’ Bacon, you ask? It’s a paper sleeve of 8 half-strips of Dunkin’s high-end bacon, seasoned with its brown sugar and black pepper mixture. It’s the same flavor on the Sweet Black Pepper Bacon Breakfast Sandwich.

That’s it. Just bacon.

“Because of the sweet caramelized, candied flavor profile, the new Snackin’ Bacon pairs perfectly with our caramel, French vanilla, and hazelnut flavor swirls,” Dunkin’ said.

Not everything at Dunkin’ is meat-based. In January, Dunkin’ teamed up with Snoop Dogg for the Beyond D-O-Double G sandwich — a Beyond sausage patty, egg and American cheese in a sliced glazed doughnut.

Although that sandwich was for a limited time, you can get a Beyond Sausage Sandwich.
