Ever wonder just how McDonald’s popular hamburgers are made?

Well, according to Business Insider, ranchers throughout the country supply the meat, but beef is also imported from countries like Canada, New Zealand and Australia.

And for the first half of their lives, the cattle graze on grass but are later fed a diet of grasses, grains and minerals.

McDonald’s even has on-site food quality technicians to test the beef.
