Fire up the grill. Pairing Sequum 2014 Kidd Ranch Zinfandel ($40.99) wine with burgers, ribs or barbecue chicken will be an unforgettable experience. Owner/winemaker Paul Skinner crafted this wine from 40-year-old vines grafted from the historic Hayne Vineyard in St. Helena, Calif. The wine is layer upon layer of yummy complexity with flavors of black raspberry and bing cherry throughout.

Skinner, a former Muskingum University quarterback, also suggests any dish with red pasta sauce. The first sip of this zin will be forever etched on your palate.
