Just about any bag of popcorn contains the following: completely popped kernels, enamel-shattering un-popped kernels, and those that are delightfully and deliciously somewhere in-between.

I received a bag in Category No. 3 — yes, an entire snack-size bag of these crunchy morsels. Appropriately called Halfpops, mine were of the Caramel & Sea Salt variety. A peek online shows six other flavors. Among them are Black Truffle & Sea Salt; Brooklyn Dill Pickle (I’m not kidding); and Angry Kettle Corn (with no explanation as to the anger source).

My bag, which I’m doling out to myself lest I scarf them all down with minutes, contains 180 calories, 4 grams of fiber and 3 grams of protein. And, of course, lots and lots of tasty. Find them (among other places) at Sprouts, Target and REI.
