Story: Victory Brewing's clean, crisp, easy-drinking lager has been available in the Philadelphia region since the brewery's founding in 1996. Now the beer, previously known as Brandywine Valley Lager, then Victory Lager, and now Victory Helles Lager, is available in 35 states, year-round on draft and in bottles. It's brewed in a traditional German style, although given an American twist with Victory's water source and use of whole-flower hops.
Food pairing: A well-made lager like this can really go with just about anything. I like it to cool down the heat of spicy food, like braised oxtail.
