Flashback photos: 75 years ago, Georgia and Atlanta in 1944 (Part One)
The effects of World War II were everywhere, including Georgia. Celebrities came to town to encourage the purchase of war bonds to fund the effort in Europe. Meanwhile, students graduated from Emory and a group of monks made the journey from Kentucky to Conyers to establish a monastery. Take a sentimental journey back to Georgia as it was 75 years ago.
