Flashback photos: Atlanta buildings and skyline, 1905-1929
Atlanta is a city of changes. We’ve been known to knock down many a perfectly serviceable building to make way for the shiny and new. So, you might be surprised to see some familiar buildings in these photos from the first decades of the 20th century. Well, the Flatiron building (built in 1897) is still around, at least, and the streets, though some of the names have changed, remain.
