In need of a beer run? The Road Runner Sports Craft Classic Half Marathon & 5K comes to Atlanta on September 10. Presented by Adidas Running, this event features a morning of competitive running followed by a craft beer after party. The half marathon will begin at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 8:15 a.m.
Participants will receive an event shirt, polarized sunglasses, finisher medal, free beer, a commemorative pint glass, free athlete tracking and race photos. Runners 21 and up will enjoy a free craft beer or four free beer tastings.
The top overall male and female half marathon winners will win their weight in beer. Awards will also be given to the overall second and third place runners and to the top three finishers in each age group.
The event supports The African SOUP, a nonprofit dedicated to advancing education in Uganda, and Team RWB, a group that creates physical and social activities for veterans.
Mandatory Pre-race Packet pick-up will be at Road Runner Sports in Buckhead on Thursday, Sept. 8 and Friday, Sept. 9 from 11a.m. to 8p.m.
