Anglers know the effectiveness of wading boot soles depends on matching the proper material to stream conditions.
The Hodgman wading boots featuring the H-Lock sole will give anglers the option of changing soles to best fit the conditions in which they are going to fish. The key element is the H-Lock interchangeable sole system. It allows an angler to swap soles for the best traction in any terrain or aquatic environment, according to Hodgman. Soles are available in felt, studded felt, Wade Tech and studded Wade Tech.
The changeable system will be available on Hodgman’s H5, Aesis and Vion boots. The H-Lock boots will be available in early February. The H5 boots, at the lower end of the price scale, feature an abrasion resistant synthetic upper, drainage ports that remove excess water weight quickly and a reinforced rubber toe for more protection. They are expected to be available in sizes 7-13.
Suggested retail price for the H5 boot is $149.95. Go to hodgman.com to purchase.
