Everybody has their means of finding Zen, whether it's unwinding on the yoga mat or throwing back a cold one. Increasingly, though, those two pleasures aren't mutually exclusive. Yoga studios in Atlanta are teaming up with breweries and gastropubs for classes served up with a side of tasty craft brews. So grab your mat, water bottle and ID. Here are four of the Atlanta classes giving "happy hour" a new meaning this summer.

Yoga on Tap

Where: Sweetwater Brewing (195 Ottley Drive NE, Atlanta), Wrecking Bar Brewpub (292 Moreland Ave. NE, Atlanta)

Presented by: Sacred Thread Yoga (Various locations)

Described as a blend of serious yoga and community, Sacred Thread regularly holds yoga classes at breweries across the metro Atlanta area. The event gives beer geeks a taste of the practice while giving yogis a chance to learn about Georgia's local brews. A weeknight treat, their next two classes will be at Wrecking Bar Brewpub (7:15 p.m., Tuesday, June 28) and Sweetwater Brewing (7:15 p.m., Tuesday, July 12). Admission is $15 and includes a one-hour, all-levels yoga class and a varying amount of tasty beverages from the brewery hosting the event. Sign up online via Sacred Thread's event page.

I Heart Beer Yoga

Where: Red Hare Brewing Company (1998 Delk Industrial Blvd. SE, Marietta)

Presented by: Aria Nejadi of Yoga Mama

This 45-minute, beginner-friendly class kicks off at 10 a.m. The $20 admission fee includes a private tour and tasting following the practice, giving yogis the opportunity to try up to 36 ounces of beer after the final savasana. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged. Sign-up is available for the next event, which is on July 30.

Yoga in the Park

Where: Park Tavern (500 10th St. NE, Atlanta)

Presented by: Westside Yoga (1891 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta)

We may have established that beer and yoga coexist in spaces all over Atlanta, but how many of those options are offered for free? Enter Westside Yoga's monthly series Yoga in the Park, a welcoming one-hour class at Park Tavern in Piedmont Park that comes complete with a post-stretch house brew. Led by Westside Yoga founder Amber Barry, the rain-or-shine classes are held throughout the summer and require no registration. Bring a positive attitude — and maybe a hankering for a beer.
