The Titanic comes to the Georgia Aquarium

The Georgia Aquarium will soon add a Titanic exhibit featuring pieces from the legendary cruise ship that sunk on its maiden voyage. Here, Leslie Cone, assistant registrar, shows off money from the Titanic as Tom Zaller, Vice President of Premier Exhibitions, talks.

Aquarium officials hope the new display will boost sagging attendance, which is down 37 percent since the attraction opened in late 2005. These items were recovered from the Titanic's kitchen.

This bottle of 'Westphal's Auxiliator' says it was for the 'preservation, growth, beauty and restoration of the hair.' The formula also happened to contain 55 percent grain alcohol.

On April 15, 1912, the Titanic sunk after hitting an iceberg, killing 1,517 people. The wreck was discovered in 1985.

The exhibit will contain more than 190 objects, 40 of which have never been displayed publicly. Some items will show off the boat's luxury. Others like this part from a toilet that Zaller is going over won't.

The cost to see the exhibit will be anywhere from $6 to $8 above regular admission to the aquarium.

English perfumer Adolf Saalfeld, one of the Titanic survivors, brought this vial of perfume essence for a business he was launching. The vials were later found in a leather satchel that was protected by micro-organisms on cowhide.
