WHAT SHE'S WEARING: Vintage black lace dress, Baume & Mercier watch, shoes by Celine

A WEAKNESS: "I love accessories. Whether it is jewelry made of unusual materials ... or anything that is very, very different. I love vintage hats. Whenever I see a great vintage hat it comes home with me." Howard's vintage broche and Makuti watch are pictured.

BIGGEST SPLURGE: "For my birthday my husband took me to Rome and I came home with 12 pairs of shoes from one day of shopping. That was my biggest splurge. I was grinning the whole time." Here, Howard wears shoes by Alain Tondowski.

BEST FIND: "A black lace dress that I love. It is gorgeous French lace and it comes in at the waist. It is very feminine and elegant and has crinoline under it and it always makes me feel good."

ATLANTA STYLE IS... : "As diverse as its population. Everything from conservative classic ... to punk rock, grunge and haute couture." Here, Howard models a Passport top and Prada skirt.

STAND-OUT FASHION MOMENT: "I was wearing a beautiful, long flowing Fendi skirt with a men's shirt at an event in New York with designer b. michael, and fashion photographer Bill Cunningham saw my outfit and just loved it and I ended up in the style section of The New York Times." Here she sports a Fendi skirt and FairFax shirt.

FAVORITE STORES: "I'm really loving and enjoying Mims Atlanta right now. They have a lot of different things that you don't see everywhere. In New York, I love going to Bergdorf Goodman because you can see every designer on just a few floors in one store."

FAVORITE LABELS: "I can never ever go wrong with Gucci, it always fits me. Isaac Mizrahi is a nice elegant look. Fendi I wear on occasion ... and I do love wearing b. michael cocktail dresses. Shoes: Christian Louboutin."

A FASHION PET PEEVE: "I hate, hate, hate to see the [tummy] roll. There is no place for it in fashion or on earth."
