Friends for close to 20 years, these Atlanta friends have found their lives sometimes resemble an episode or movie of "Sex and the City."

Friends for nearly 20 years, Shira Miller, (from left) Samantha Worthen, Abby Schonier-Marcuse and Stephanie Weaver have seen their lives sometimes resemble a real life version of the "Sex and the City."

The friends have built strong bonds as they've laughed over bizarre Atlanta dating stories and outlasted lovers, jobs and in some cases, marriages.

Worthen pours a cosmopolitan at Miller's home in Sandy Springs. When Worthen left her management job to pursue her acting dream, her friends stood behind her.

Halloween 1990 with Worthen as Madonna, Miller as Barbara Bush and Weaver as Julia Roberts from 'Pretty Woman.' The women have thrown a number of interesting themed parties.

The friends just before they leave for roadtrip to Hilton Head, S.C. in 1994.

Worthen and Miller at Emory University in 1986. They met their first night at college at their dorm.

The girlfriends spend some quality time together at with cocktails, dinner and dessert.

No matter what happens in their personal lives the girlfriends are confident they'll be able to laugh about it with each other.
