The Enchanted Closet Inc., a volunteer-run non-profit organization serving teenage girls, will host a purse exchange Aug. 23 at the TMAC-Lindbergh City Center in Atlanta.

The three-hour event, which will kick off at 2 p.m., will help fund the operation of the GIRL$ Program, a service-learning project designed to increase the self-awareness, self-esteem, and self-sufficiency of middle and high school girls.

For a $25 tax-deductible donation, attendees will have the opportunity to snag a great purse, save money and show their support for low-income teen girls in metropolitan Atlanta. There will be also be an “auction” of enchanted purses donated by various artisans and designers, an opportunity to network, enjoy good food and a chance to win special door prizes.

All purses must in good condition; free from excessive markings, with functioning straps and closures. Purses will be tagged based on the estimated value level and attendees can make a selection to exchange from purses at the same level of the purse they submitted.
