Homeless dogs at the Atlanta Humane Society are in for a treat — or a few.
The shelter's Howell Mill location hosts a cookie decorating and distributing event this weekend.

Decatur’s Taj Ma-Hound Gourmet Dog Treats is sponsoring the gathering and providing their baked-to-order treats for pups’ consumption. Humans are invited to take part on December 15 from 12 p.m.-1:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and the cost benefits AHS’ needy animals.
In addition to this event, the shelter is also hosting the 2019 Holiday Drive to Save Lives. Donations received through Dec. 31 will be matched up to $80,000.
