The renowned Dance Theatre of Harlem will perform at the Cobb Energy Centre on Oct. 22 and Oct. 23

The event will feature classical ballet with performances of “Return” set to the music of Aretha Franklin and James Brown and choreographed by Robert Garland. Dianne McIntyre, Spelman College’s Distinguished Visiting Scholar choreographs “Change.”

The Dance Theatre of Harlem will also feature three new dancers in the touring troupe including including Kristy Lee Denoven, former soloist with the West Australian Ballet; Choong Hoon Lee, a South Korean dancer trained at Korean National University of Arts; and Jordan Kindell, joining after three seasons with the Oregon Ballet Theater.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

Shows are 8 p.m. Oct. 22 and 3 p.m. Oct. 23 at 3 p.m. Tickets range from $29 to $79, plus applicable fees, and will be available online at www.Ticketmaster.com, by calling 800-735-3000 or at the Cobb Energy Centre Box Office.
