The Most Rev. Michael B Curry, who delivered a powerful sermon at the royal wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, will be the keynote speaker at a fundraiser to benefit the Day1 media ministry in Atlanta this fall.

Curry, the presiding bishop of the Episcopal Church, invoked the words of the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. during his sermon, which was watched by millions around the world.

While in Atlanta, Curry will also record a Day1 radio segment  that will air on Nov. 25.

Day 1 is weekly radio program and podcast that features preachers from historic Protestant churches from across the United States. The 73-year-old Day1 ecumenical ministry was formerly known as “The Protestant Hour.”

The theme of Curry’s message will be “We Need Some Witnesses to the Way of Jesus.”

The dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 6. A location has yet to be determined.

In Atlanta, Day1 airs on News 95.5 and AM 750 WSB Sundays at 7:05 a.m. The program is currently distributed to more than 200 radio stations across America and in a dozen other countries, and available on podcast platforms such as iTunes, RadioPublic, and Stitcher.
