Best tourist attraction in Atlanta | Best of Atlanta

Atlanta is a destination city for anyone looking for a heavy dose of Southern culture, great food and excellent attractions. This week's Best of Atlanta poll discovered some of our city's best tourist spots. 

You might not be surprised to hear that the Georgia Aquarium came in #1 with a whopping 46% of the vote. Folks come from far and wide to admire and lose themselves in the magic of all things under the sea. While you are exploring, here are three ways to unlock secrets at the Georgia Aquarium.

In second place is the National Center for Civil and Human Rights, where you can dive deep into historical and current social events that shape our world. Be sure to take a look at our insider's guide when planning your visit. 

If you're in need of an outdoor adventure to fully enjoy an Atlanta day, head over to our third place winner at Stone Mountain Park. Stone Mountain Park is located on 3,200 acres of natural beauty; fun awaits as you discover interactive family friendly attractionsin addition to the many natural and historical sights.

As if those attrations weren't enough entertainment, you will find wonderful tourist experiences at all of our official nominees as well: Zoo Atlanta (Intown), Historic Oakland Cemetery (Intown), Kennesaw Mountain (Cobb), World of Coca-Cola (Intown) and all the food and culture to discover on Buford Highway (multiple counties).
