The Atlanta National College Fair on Sunday has been canceled.

It was scheduled to happen at the Georgia International Convention Center.

The National Association for Admission Counseling wrote on its site that it "made the difficult decision to cancel the Atlanta National College Fair."

Seven other spring college fairs have also been nixed.

“The safety of students, families, and participating college and university representatives is paramount," said Pia Brown, National College Fairs director in a press release.
