On May 19, Halcyon in Alpharetta will kick off its farmers market for the season — with some added safety measures.

The market, which will feature a variety of local vendors, will continue weekly from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesdays until Oct. 27.

The range of fresh produce and provisions offered will include honey, berries, peaches, flowers, jams, cheeses, granola and breads.

Like other markets throughout the metro area, the Halcyon Farmers Market has pledged to implement measures to promote distancing and increased hygiene.

Vendors will be required to regularly disinfect booths, wear masks and gloves. There will also be options to pre-order and use contact-free payment options. Free masks will also be available for customers who want one and do not bring their own, according to an announcement from the market.

“Hosting the Halcyon Farmers Market has long been part of our vision as a vibrant, community-focused village in Forsyth County. We hope now, more than ever, it offers local families an opportunity to enjoy fresh air and connect in a healthy way. We’ll continue to adapt as needed to maintain an environment where all our visitors, neighbors, employees and tenants feel welcome as we remain focused on our vision,” David Silver, general manager of Halcyon said in a statement.
