11Alive’s entertainment reporter and anchor Francesca Amiker announced Monday on air that she’s leaving after four years with the NBC affiliate.

Her final day is Friday.

Amiker, a Chamblee High School and Vanderbilt University graduate who previously worked at stations in Jacksonville, Florida and Lansing, Michigan, said her next job will be revealed at a later date.

The Emmy-winning reporter created the “A-Scene,” a regular entertainment feature on 11Alive and most recently has been a host on the “Morning Rush” show. Over the years, she has interviewed celebrities such as Tyler Perry, Oprah Winfrey, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, T.I. and John Travolta.

“To my hometown of Atlanta,” she wrote on social media, “thank you from the bottom of my heart for always riding for me and becoming my family... These last four years have been nothing short of amazing and I never took any encounter or opportunity for granted.”
