Taylor Swift’s childhood home in Pennsylvania sold for just under $1M

A five-bedroom Georgian Colonial home once occupied by Taylor Swift’s family is under contract for $999,100 — roughly $100,000 less than the original asking price, according to the listing.

Built in 1929, the Pennsylvania home at 78 Grandview Boulevard sits on a 0.75 acre lot with a huge backyard, two-car garage and swimming pool. The home also features a formal dining room, a grand foyer, vaulted ceilings, fireplaces in both the living room and the den, a large updated open kitchen and a covered porch.

“The property is a unique combination of old-world charm with modern updates and amenities,” Eric P. Miller of The Eric Miller Team at Re/Max of Reading, told Mansion Global. “This home is true to the Georgian Colonial style of having exquisite architecture in the rear of the property.”

Swift and her family lived in the rented home during her early teens before moving to Nashville in 2004 to launch her career, PhillyVoice reported. In 2007, the home was bought by Daniel Mashevsky, who had no idea who the soon-to-be sensational artist was at the time. Mashevsky renovated the property extensively, unearthing some of Swift’s old items, including toys and a note she wrote about a trip to Disney World.
