House Beautiful, the oldest continually-published design magazine in the United States, is bringing its fifth edition of the “Whole Home” series to Georgia. The magazine is partnering with Ladisic Fine Homes and Pak Heydt & Associates to renovate Buckhead’s historic Chastain Park Tudor.

A dozen interior designers will participate in the project to reimagine each room of the sprawling two-story home’s 11,000 square feet. When the work is done, the renovation will appear in the December/January Makeover Issue of the magazine, as well as on housebeautiful.com. The issue will hit news stands Dec. 6.

As housing prices remain high nationwide, this will be House Beautiful’s first time renovating an existing property for the series.

“As real estate inventory remains limited and material delays persist, it’s trickier than ever to buy a new house or build one from scratch,” Carisha Swanson, director of editorial special projects at House Beautiful, said in a press release. “It’s the perfect opportunity for House Beautiful and our talented team of designers, builders and partners to transform this space with clever renovations, smart design concepts, and life-changing products.”

The magazine is gearing up to try something new in Atlanta.

“Now is the ideal time to return to Atlanta for our fifth annual Whole Home and embark on our first-ever renovation,” said Jennifer Levene Bruno, SVP, Group Publishing Director/Chief Revenue Officer, House Beautiful. “What better time than now to celebrate the home you already have, while showcasing new design ideas and products that help transform your space into an even better place to live and play.”
