The Ehrlich-Immendorf House, built in 1898 and designed by George Franklin Barber, a late-19th- and early-20th-century catalog architect, is a stunning blend of classic Victorian architecture and thoughtful modern updates.

Owned by the Ehrlich family from 1909 to 1977, it contains mantels and doors that were saved when the first house on the property burned down. This eclectic home, which is on the National Register of Historic Places, was the first home in Decatur County to have electricity.

This spacious home — over 5,500 square feet — features four bedrooms, four bathrooms, elaborate moldings, hand-selected floorboards and stained glass windows, as well as a large back yard, outbuildings, and plenty of porches.

The Immendorf family has lovingly maintained this century-old Queen Anne-styled home by preserving its austere grandeur while updating it in 2017 with the installation of a new HVAC system and in 2019 with the installation of a new architectural styled slate roof.

Listing by Marla Ames, ERA Simpson Realty.
