Mickey soon won’t be the only mouse wearing the pants in the family. Minnie is getting a wardrobe update that will include a Stella McCartney-designed pantsuit.

To celebrate Women’s History Month and the 30th anniversary of Disneyland Paris, Minnie Mouse will trade in her iconic polka dot dress for a polka dot pantsuit.

“We’re thrilled to announce the First Ultrachic Pantsuit for Minnie Mouse at Disneyland Paris, designed by Stella McCartney herself,” the Disney Parks Blog posted. “In honor of Women’s History Month, starting on March 6, 2022, find Minnie Mouse at Walt Disney Studios Park as she rocks a new take on her signature polka dots. As part of International Women’s Rights Day, Stella McCartney will market a unique Minnie Mouse t-shirt exclusively available online and in Stella stores on March 8, 2022. Starting spring 2022, a limited-edition product line inspired by the cult movie Fantasia will be also launched by Stella McCartney.”

“I am delighted to be working with the one, the only, the iconic Minnie Mouse,” McCartney said in a press release.

“Minnie has always had a special place in my heart,” she added. “We share the same values. What I love about Minnie is the fact that she embodies happiness, self-expression, authenticity and that she inspires people of all ages around the world. Plus, she has such great style. I wanted Minnie to wear her very first pantsuit at Disneyland Paris, so I have designed one of my iconic costumes — a blue tuxedo — using responsibly sourced fabrics. This new take on her signature polka dots makes Minnie Mouse a symbol of progress for a new generation.”

Minnie isn’t ditching all of her dresses. In fact, Disneyland Paris released a video showing new outfits for Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Daisy and all the Disney characters.

Disneyland Paris opened April 12, 1992, and has since had more than 375 million visitors, according to a press release from the park.

The park will celebrate its 30th anniversary March 6, which will start an era “marked by transformation, limitless creativity and new technology,” according to the press release.
