Veterans Day service of remembrance – 11 a.m. Nov. 11

Decatur Cemetery contains graves of veterans from every war from the American Revolution in 1776 to the most recent engagements in the Middle East. On Veterans Day, an inspiring service of remembrance will be held at the veterans memorial near the cemetery office. The event is in conjunction with the Harold Byrd Post 66 of the American Legion. The Atlanta VA Medical Center will hold a ceremony honoring veterans at the CLC, the facility's nursing home.

Applebee's restaurants
Applebee's restaurants will offer free meals for veterans and active-duty service members. The free meals are part of the chain's Thank You Movement.
