Whether you're still prepping for back to school or a 5K, the events in Atlanta this weekend will get you started on the right foot.

Just about every county has a 5K taking place, along with a wide array of other events the whole family will enjoy. From truck shows to back-to-school bashes, there's a little something for everyone.

So, lace up those sneakers and get ready to run the town.

Cobb

Hero Run 5K 2017. 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5. $30 per racer, free to watch. Kennesaw First Baptist Church. 2958 North Main St., Kennesaw. 770-365-9871. www.herorun.us.

The 7th Annual Hero Run takes place in Kennesaw this Saturday, and is hoping to host over 2000 runners and walkers to raise money for wounded veteran charities. This Peachtree Road Race qualifier will take you through Downtown Kennesaw and includes a 1K mile walk and 5K race.

If your kids love big vehicles (or if you do) don't miss the Touch a Truck and More Festival happening at the Mable House this Saturday. Visitors will enjoy seeing a variety of amazing machinery as well as food trucks, a fun zone and arts and crafts. Calling all truck and Jeep lovers out there - the 4 Wheels Parts Truck and Jeep Fest takes over the Galleria this weekend with custom trucks and Jeeps, product demos, giveaways, special pricing for people wanting to buy a vehicle and more.

For those of you planning a fall or winter wedding, the Georgia Bridal Show will surround you with everything you need to plan the perfect event. Take part in a run like no other this Saturday with the Viva La Margarita 5K. This 5K and 10K race will travel through Brook Run Park, and your ticket price includes a Dri-fit t-shirt, race bib and tickets for a margarita (virgin for runners under 21). Margaritas will be served at the end of the race.
